West Regional Development Agency (RDA West) is one of the eight development regions of Romania, the westernmost of them and works to develop and promote the region as a whole, nationally and internationally. West RDA's role is to contribute to sustainable development and prosperity of the West Region by encouraging investment, permanent employment in industrial restructuring and creating new jobs. West RDA develops, in partnership with regional stakeholders, a series of document -oriented planning in order to achieve the objective of economic and social cohesion. Established in 1999, West RDA is a non-governmental institution, nonprofit and public. It is part of the bodies and financial instruments described in regional and national Law. 315/2004 , amended by Ordinance 111/2004 as the national regional development. It was established to allow Romania absorption of pre-accession period.
